Why yes, we are Philadelphia Eagles fans in the Miller household, in case you were wondering. ?? We've lived here in South Central Pennsylvania for the past 8 years, in the middle of farmland and Amish country, but both Paul and I were born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. As Philly kids, the following were regular experiences in our childhoods:
- Weekly fresh-baked soft pretzels sold at school for snack time
- Being able to buy the same soft pretzels at literally EVERY busy intersection in our neighborhood
- Having to dump out our trick-or-treat bags half way through Halloween because the row houses were so close together!
- Riding the bus, then the "El" (elevated train), then the bus ONE WAY to middle school and high school
- Visiting the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the Philadelphia Zoo on a yearly basis on school trips
- Rooting for our beloved Eagles every year!!
Of course we feel extremely blessed to raise our kids in our area now. I absolutely love my memories of growing up in the city. I wouldn't change it for the world!
