Ok busy moms, what would you say to me if I had an amazing idea for a date night that required *literally* no planning or shopping and is guaranteed to be fun for your and your spouse? Believe me, I know that's a tall order! I'm promising you that I have a BRILLIANT idea for you that you're going to want to repeat again and again and again.

Last week we received a box of food items, ingredients, and three recipes from Blue Apron to try out at home. Blue Apron's mission is to make incredible home cooking available to everyone - and I can attest, they completely nailed it!! When you sign up for Blue Apron, they let you choose from 3 different meal ideas each week and they SEND ALL THE INGREDIENTS to make those meals directly to your doorstep. How cool is that?! Not just any ingredients either - high quality, farm sourced produce, and responsible farming and ranching ingredients.

I'm serious - you don't need to step foot in a store to get these incredible restaurant-quality dinners cooked up in your own kitchen!

Paul and I decided to try out our first meal from Blue Apron for a fun date night when the kids were in bed. You guys, it was SO MUCH FUN! One of the meals we had picked was a recipe for Cod en Papillote - we felt like we were professionals, but the instructions were surprisingly simple to do here in our own kitchen.

The cod was absolutely delicious and the creme fraiche sauce with meyer lemon and parsley was absolutely perfect on top. It was served with cooked freekeh - a middle eastern grain that neither of us had had before - we love trying new foods together! Paired with some sparkling grape juice and our favorite show, we had an amazing date-night here at home without having to get a babysitter or even drive to the store. TOTAL WIN!

You've heard me preach on here about how important I feel menu planning is for families and busy couples to connect more around the dinner table every night. Using a delivery service like Blue Apron for nights when you know you're not going to have the energy to bring a whole dinner together yourself, is BRILLIANT!

When you sign up, you can choose a 2-person plan and receive 3 meals per week, or a family plan which serves 4 people either 2 meals or 4 meals per week - shipping is always free with Blue Apron and you can skip or cancel deliveries at any time. I honestly can't wait to try our next two recipes from this delivery: Sesame Chicken and Steak & Green Peppercorn Sauce - don't they sound amazing?!

I totally recommend trying Blue Apron in your own home - if you do, please use my affiliate link here to sign up and let them know I sent you.
