Candy Cane Punch

Oh MAN I can not even tell you what a headache it was in this house testing this delicious Candy Cane Punch out with my family! It's no secret, I have 3 of the best taste-testers in the food blogging industry living right here in my home. I'm so lucky! I only wish my blogger friends could have these guys helping them out.

The problem with writing is that you can't easily detect sarcasm.

It's DRAMA, friends. When they see me testing out a fun looking recipe like this one, they want it and have zero patience waiting for it to be done. God forbid I need to tweak the recipe in any way. Or even, GASP, remake it totally different! Add in the fact that this recipe has mint flavoring and there were borderline tears. Silas hates mint, but desperately wanted this drink to taste good because it looked so good. Alas, he did not and was really disappointed.

I'm sorry, buddy.

Candy Cane Punch Christmas Party Drinks

The rest of us in this family, however, are MAJOR mint fanatics. I get really excited when I start seeing candy canes in the stores at the start of the Christmas season - they are one of my favorite treats this time of the year. We absolutely love entertaining and this Candy Cane Punch will be a festive drink I turn to again and again! It is so simple to put together, I'm planning on having a few containers of peppermint ice cream in the freezer and some bottles of 7UP on the ready for guests.

I prepared this punch in a mixing bowl with a pour spout and then just poured the finished punch into the decorated glasses, but this would look super pretty in a punch bowl set out for a party as well. The 7UP gives it a gorgeous foam on top, tinged with pink from the ice cream. You NEED to try this Christmas party drink for your next get together!
