Keto Chicken Tenders

We cracked the code to make these delicious keto chicken tenders. They are perfect for a snack or for a full lunch. This mouthwatering low carb fried chicken will make your friends and family love you. They won’t even know that it’s low carb.

We like it a little bit spicy, you can add extra herbs and spices of your choice when marinating the chicken but it is optional. You can prepare them fried or baked.


INGREDIENTS

  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder optional

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut the chicken breast in lengthwise strips.
  2. Cut chicken into small strips
  3. With a mortar, mash the garlic cloves and spices. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Add egg, lemon juice and sour cream in and mix well to marinate the chicken strips.
  4. Cover and refrigerate approximately 1 hour, turning occasionally so all the flavors can get inside the meat.
  5. In a plastic container with lid, place almond flour in and the chicken pieces. Make sure the lid is on and shake until all the chicken is covered with almond flour.
  6. Coating Chicken With Almond Flour
  7. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375F degrees.
  8. Fry coated chicken in hot oil for 10 to 15 minutes or until it begins to turn brown. Remove from heat and serve.
