SPRINGTIME BROWNIE RICE KRISPIE TREATS

These yummy dessert bars are our new favorite treat. The brownies and the Rice Krispies are a perfect mix of sweet and crunchy.  Your Easter guests will beg for the recipe for our Springtime Brownie Rice Krispie Treats, we promise.  So grab a box of Brownie mix and Rice Krispie Cereal and get ready to field the compliments from your family and friends.

In a 9×13″ pan lined with Parchment Paper, bake a batch of Brownies.  We used a box Brownie mix.  (Two Sisters Tip:  use a regular sized box of brownies not the family size. )  Make the brownie batter according to the directions on the box and bake as you normally would.


INGREDIENTS:

  • Box of Brownie Mix (NOT the family size)
  • Jet Puffed Marshmallow Creme
  • Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Cereal
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Butter
  • Bag of Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers
  • Wilton Candy Melts (Pink, Blue, Yellow)
  • Wilton Spring Sprinkles
  • 9×13″ Rectangular Baking Pan
  • Parchment Paper

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Bake a pan of Brownies in a 9×13″ pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. Cool.
  3. Spread on a layer of Jet Puffed Marshmallow Creme
  4. Melt 5 tbsp. of butter in a pan.
  5. Add 5 cups of Mini Marshmallows and stir until melted.
  6. Add 5 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal, stir until covered.
  7. Allow Rice Krispie Treat mixture to cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Press Rice Krispie Treat mixture into the pan.
  9. Melt bag of White Chocolate.
  10. Spread onto top of Rice Krispie layer.
  11. Decorate with melted Red and Green candy melts.
  12. Sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles.
  13. Cut into bars.
