These Pecan Muddy Buddies are the perfect treat for the sweetie in your life! Pecan halves coated in peanut butter, chocolate, and powdered sugar - this makes a great gift, too!
I had these addictive Pecan Muddy Buddies cooling on a cookie sheet on the kitchen counter for the boys to snack on as they walked in from school.
Miller Boy #1: Mom, what is this?
Me: They're pecans with peanut butter, chocolate, and powdered sugar. Try one.
Miller Boy #2: They look like rocks.
Me: Well I made them and I can tell you for sure they aren't rocks. Just try one.

Miller Boy #1: They taste like peanuts. You know I don't like peanuts.
Miller Boy #2: Yeah, you know I don't like peanuts, Mom.
It's a tough crowd I have to work with around here, you guys, I'm telling you! In all honesty, toddler Reuben would have tasted any of that sugary good stuff on the counter if I chose to give him a bite. He needs a few more molars to chew anything crunchy yet, but I might just have a little foodie in the making, we shall see. :)

Pecan Muddy Buddies
Pecan halves coated in peanut butter, chocolate, and vanilla and tossed in powdered sugar.
prep time: 10 MINScook time: total time: 10 mins
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cups pecan halves
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place pecan halves in a mixing bowl; set aside.
- In a separate bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter for 1 minute. Stir. If mixture isn't completely melted and smooth, microwave an additional 30 seconds until melted fully.
- Pour chocolate mixture over pecans and stir to coat well.
- Transfer coated pecans into a large plastic zip top bag. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag and toss to coat pecans evenly with powdered sugar.
- Spread pecans out onto a cookie sheet and allow to cool completely. Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.
